The Humble Tulip

The tulip has been the Funeral Partners logo since 2007 when the company was founded.

Because tulips are one of the first flowers to bloom in the spring, the tulip is a timely emblem of hope and renewal through adversity. Their blooms are a wonderful reminder of rebirth and hope, most synonymous at Easter. Fifteen years and one global pandemic later, a once seemingly inconsequential company logo has transcended its humble image.

At what better time to reflect than right now, following the turbulence of the past two and a half years. A time of, lockdowns, furlough, unemployment, fear, uncertainty and mental health crises.

The true meaning of tulips is perfect or deep love, rebirth and charity but they also have a rich history packed with symbolism, much like many of our funeral homes, some with a history dating back more than 300 years.

As we reflect on the past 15 years in the Funeral Partners journey we can’t help but wonder what the next 15 will hold. As we continue to welcome new family businesses into our family we can only hope to continue to grow and thrive as the tulip.
